In March, rainfall levels were relatively low in most cities except Shanghai, which recorded approximately 120 mm,closely followed byGuangzhou at 80 mm. Chengdu received 30 mm of rainfall,twice that ofUrumqi.In contrast, Beijing recorded only 10 mm,the lowest among all the five cities.

Subsequently, the rainfall in Guangzhou and Shanghaijumped to a peak of280 mm and 180 mm in June,before falling dramatically to170 mm and 90 mm in September.Similarly,aftera fivefold increase to the highest level at150 mm in June, the precipitation of Chengdudropped slightlyto 120 mm in September.Despite the above fluctuations,these three cities continued to maintain higher levels of rainfall.
